'Calendario de Navidad' Spanish Worksheet - Free Printable

The holiday season is finally here, and I’m so excited to share a little tradition that I’ve recently turned into a festive worksheet for everyone to enjoy. This Calendario de Navidad is a one-page Spanish activity calendar that makes counting down to Christmas even more magical. It’s something I’ve started doing in my own family, and now I can’t imagine December without it!

Every day leading up to December 24th, this worksheet offers a small, festive activity in Spanish to bring a bit of fun, learning, and holiday spirit to our daily routine. From December 1st through December 24th, each day is filled with a simple activity or phrase in Spanish. You’ll find a playful mix of holiday traditions, like “canta un villancico” (sing a Christmas carol), “decora el árbol” (decorate the tree), and “hornea galletas” (bake cookies). I included some of my favorite moments from my own childhood celebrations, so these activities are designed to be easy and enjoyable for all ages, whether you're young or just young at heart!


This calendar doesn’t just add holiday cheer; it also brings a unique multicultural twist to Christmas celebrations. Each activity provides an opportunity to learn a little more Spanish, making it an interactive experience for anyone looking to blend learning and festivity. My kids love the idea of doing something “special” every day, and I’ve loved watching them soak up new words and traditions along the way.

Last December, we tried a different activity calendar, but honestly, this one has been my favorite because of the added language connection. Watching my kids proudly say, “¡Vamos a cantar un villancico!” after learning a simple carol was a small moment, but it truly melted my heart. Using this worksheet is as easy as putting up your decorations. Just print it out, hang it somewhere everyone can see (ours goes on the fridge!), and let the countdown begin. Each day, we check off an activity, and I love how it’s become a little ritual for us. My family has started looking forward to these activities each morning, turning them into special moments we can share as a family.
